Call of Combat is looking for Interns, Mid and Senior Artists !!!

We are looking for passionate and talented artists to join our team in The Netherlands.
We are very excited to be working on a new version of Call of Combat. This is a remake of the old RTS wwII game that has been online for over 10 years.

3d Generalist
Responsibilities

  • Create high standard hard surface and organic 3d models from characters, weapons, props to 3d environments with in a low poly pipeline
  • UV texturing on low poly 3d models
  • Animating 3d characters and props
  • Post your work on the internal review system on a daily basis for feedback.
  • Communicate and keep track of your daily task with our project management system
  • Collaborate with the art director to create consistent and high quality game art.


Requirements

  • Experienced in Maya or 3d Studio Max is a must.
  • Experienced in creating low poly game art
  • Comfortable with rigging and animation 3d characters
  • Basic shader knowledge is a must.
  • Excellent eye for detail.
  • Ability to work from concept designs
  • Scripting knowledge is a plus
  • Strong passion for 3d game art is a must
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English



Unity Expert
Responsibilities

  • Integrating 3d assets and animations from 3d packages like Maya and Max into the Unity game engine.
  • Research and Development for Lighting, Shaders, Modeling and Animation pipeline in Unity.
  • Assist 3d artist in day to day task within Unity
  • Complete modelling, texturing, shading task when required to meet desired deadlines
  • Communicate and keep track of your daily task with our project management system
  • Collaborate with the art director and leads to create highest achievable video game art within the Unity game engine.


Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in Unity
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in the video game industry
  • Ability to provide excellent work samples and professional reference.
  • Showcase of shipped titles is a plus
  • Experience with Mecanim in Unity
  • Experienced in Maya or 3d Studio Max is a must.
  • Experienced in creating low poly game art is a must
  • Comfortable with rigging and animation 3d characters-
  • Shader writing in Unity is a big plus
  • Excellent shader knowledge within Unity is a must
  • Excellent eye for detail.
  • Ability to work from concept designs
  • Scripting knowledge is a huge plus
  • Strong passion for Unity is a must
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English



UI Designer
Responsibilities

  • Communicate and keep track of your daily task with our project management system
  • Collaborate with the art director to maintain consistency with the overall projects styleguide
  • Collaborate with the lead developer to implement the UI components


Requirements

  • Strong portfolio showing UI designs for multiple platforms.
  • Experienced in UI design for video games is desired but not essential
  • Experienced in Maya or 3d Studio Max is a plus
  • Expert in photoshop is must
  • Unity experience is a huge plus
  • Ability to work from concept designs
  • Scripting knowledge is a huge plus
  • Strong passion for UI design is a must
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English



.NET Developer
Responsibilities

  • Implement game mechanics in .NET
  • Streamline and tweak networking code and overall game performance
  • Collaborate with game designers on how to translate the game concept into actual code
  • Collaborate with lead developer on the use of proper coding patterns and testing routines


Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience with .NET
  • Experience with version control systems is a must
  • Experience with networking is a must
  • Need to be able to work in a team and work with project management tools
  • Ability to use ‘agile’ methods and work with rapid release cycles
  • Experience with game development techniques is a big plus
  • Experience with 3D is a big plus
  • Experience with LUA is a big plus
  • Experience with the Unity3D game engine is a plus
  • Experience with databases and web services is a plus
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English

Just to be clear: we prefer people who are EXTREMELY good but do not require any/much payment on the short term :-) We currrently have limited financial possibilities.. This is one of the reasons why almost the entire team is working (for free) on getting this project to a level where we might have more financial freedom/can actually start paying people.

when i tried graphic-designing software at the age of 16 i came to the conclusion its far more advance for my complete-moronic brain as time went by i started getting familiar with math since i went to college and then i came into conclusion its possible but shall take a long..........periods............ of time just like when i started getting the hang of sony vegas pro its easy for me because i spent 7 years understanding basic video production
