I got a pretty old laptop and a pretty old desktop that use to run CoCv1 no problem. What will be the required specs to run the newer version on any computer?

What are your specs?

We did not have the opportunity to properly evaluate performance on a lot of different hardware yet, but in general, it seems that it works fine with an Nvidia 8800GT (mid-high end from 8 years ago). It also runs fine on a (more recent) 630GT or on some relatively recent integrate graphics such as Intel 4000. The game seemed to be playable with half decent memory and processor, it still worked fine with 2Gb RAM and some old Dual Core.

Also, we have not focused much on performance optimization, so there is a chance that the game does work on even lower hardware somewhere in the future.

Honestly, I tried playing on my parents old laptop (Don't know the specs but probably 10 years old). I was sitting around 3-6 FPS. So on certain older systems this game isn't playable at all.

well i was a little let down by the fact that my laptop is only a few years old and i can only get 6fps

this is my model number for my laptop would anyone be able to tell me why it doesnt work faster??

There are several HP G62, it seems. I checked the graphic cards on a couple, but they were below the specs recommended above.

We would like to improve performance, and have the game work on older specs, but not in the immediate future. Will keep you informed.

At its current state, I'm afraid the game will not be very playable. You can give it a try and tell us how it goes, but it's not very likely to run properly if at all.
We do want to optimize the game so that it can run on older hardware. But right now we do not know how far we can go.
